i have medium thin hair. i've been getting a lot of split ends. i've been using the straightener alot, but is dove also the reason. please give me the good and bad about dove shampoo?

Lots of people use a straightener and their hair seems to be fine.. mine included.

Maybe you use too high a heat?

As for the dove shampoo.. I find that it can be overconditioning. You know when your hair is too soft and too limp? Medium thin hair does not need such a high amount of conditioning.

Maybe you could use a heat protectant for when you use your straightener.. or use a leave in conditioning cream (like sebastion no. 9) when you do it so that way the heat helps the conditioner penetrate the hair more.

Also layered thin hair doesn't look good in my opinion. When your hair starts to get damaged it shows twice as much.

P.S. I find Pantene conditioner to be AWFUL. It makes my scalp itch and I find I have to wash my hair way more just to get the build up out. If you live in the south, some wal marts carry a spanish version of mane n' tail called CABELLO which is light and works fine.

I'm not sure. I use Dove sometimes, but I don't use a straightener. I also have split ends, maybe it is the dove? You could switch products if you want.

Sounds like you need Sunsilk Pink (for split ends)

Sunsilk is the best in my opinion!
