What are good products for my type of hair?

Sorry if this has been asked a lot, but I've looked through similar questions, but nothing has really shot out at me.

I am half black, half white, and my dad has really curly hair, and my mom has straight, fine hair. I have curly hair, about medium sized ringlets, and on my bottom layer, I have coarse hair. What products do you suggest I use for my type of hair? (That are reasonably priced of course!)

Rusk Deep Shine would be very good for your hair type. They make a lusterizing creme that is amazing.

If you're looking for something a little less expensive, go to Sally Beauty Supply. They make a line called Aquelle which is EXACTLY like the Deep Shine line but way cheaper (only $4.00-$5.00 a bottle).

you can use pantene conditioner with a seperate shampoo or use frutics conditioner with a seperate shampoo. using the 2 in one wont help. so dont buy the conditioner with the shampoo in it. hope you know what i mean!

For conditioning at a low cost just leave in what ever conditioner you use at the moment. Lather it in wrap your hair in plastic wrap and leave it for 1 hour then was out. This stores in the heat and allows your hair to soak in the moisturiser from your conditioner. As for the curls this is one thing that will always be a problem. Curly hair is always going to be dry due to the Constancy of the hair follicle but as long as you keep it brushed and moisturised you should be fine. Try a treatment every-time you go to the hairdresser as well. Also try leaving conditioner in your hair during the day and wash it out when you get home. Hope this helps

Try Garnier Fructis Smoothing Milk. It's been known to smooth hair and moisturize it. Besides, any product by Garnier is fabulous!

whatever you choose, DO NOT buy supermarket shampoo, even ones that claim to be 'used in salons' or 'salon developed'. They are all basically detergent. And please, stay the hell away from pantene, it is full of detergents and silicone, which will make your hair worse, trust me, i've been there.

Go to a salon and talk to a senior hairdresser (they'll have a better idea than a junior) who should advise you on the best way to look after your hair. the salon products can be a little costly, but they are worth the money, and you generally only have to use half as much, so it works out about the same anyway.

Some good brands:

Redken (my fave) you coould possibly try their "Fresh Curls" range

Joico

KMS

Goldwell
