I have very long hair and have bleached for years w/ various products. hair is in good condition/no splits. natural hair is medium dark w/white i want to go silver and not have to bleach regularly to hide dark hair and because the contrast is significant between the bleached and natural when I tried going to all dark and starting over letting it grow out natural from being bleached for years it was not attractive to me/family, bleach to silver or white would be the color I need to choose. can someone tell me if this is possible?
I like white/silver hair i have dark roots with w/white rest is bl/blon can hair be colored to white/silver?
U can get UR hairdresser to bleach UR hair right down, depending on how UR hair takes to the bleach U may have to bleach 2-3 times. This can really stress UR hair, then they can tone it 2a real silver blonde tone. I have silver blonde like U want and i must warn it is high maintenance. U will need to get your roots done about every 4 weeks, and i reccommend using REDKEN - pearl blonde conditioner. it is a toner and treatment conditioner for your hair. and use it every time U wash UR hair. Leave it in for about 5mins before u wash out. this keeps the blondes from turning yellow and the more u use it the more silver tone it will give to your hair.

theres colours that are called "hi-lift tints" which aren't bleaches, they are permanent tints but they lift richt up to blonde shades. even silver/white blonde shades. you should try that. or you can get highlights to break up the regrowth so it wouldnt be so noticeable. if you want to be rid of regrowth forever, you're going to have to stop your hair from growing. so either you put up with the regrowth or deal with colouring it all the time.

Very interesting!!!!I've been wanting to change my natural color of light brwn., to white/silver,and keeping my roots somewhat dark. From what I understand, you must bleach all your color out, and wait a few days, and then re-color your hair your new desired color. If you decide to go back to natural color , pick the closest matching shade and then dye your hair. That way when it starts to grow out ,it won't be unattractive to you or your loved ones. Good luck and have fun with it. Having a professional do this, will make all the difference in the world.
