I colored my hair yesterday by myself with a no-ammonia color that I bought at a beauty supply store. My hair was medium brown and the color I bought was a light golden brown but turned out dark brown with some red tone in it. My hair is darker than it was before when I meant to lighten it a little bit. The hair dresser told me she can color it back to light-medium brown without bleaching and only using color. I made the appointment for tomorrow so I gave my hair two days to rest between coloring. I hate the color my hair turned out, my skin looks way too light for it but I also don't want to kill it. Is it too soon to re-color? Thanks
Btw, the hair stylist recommended I wait two weeks but I forgot to mention I used a no ammonia color to her. And what I know about no ammonia is that is semi permanent. Is this right? Any advise is appreciated.
How soon can I color my hair again?
Skip the trip to the salon and go to the grocery store instead... buy Dawn dish soap (the regular kind- not with bleach or anything) and a good deep/THICK conditioner (moisturizing, for color treated hair, etc...) go home and start washing. Wash it a couple times the 1st day (wash, repeat) and deep condition, again the next day, then go down to once every day or two til the color is gone. This really shouldn't take more than a few days!! The color isn't permanent, right? No ammonia- no peroxide? Keep washing it and you'll be back to your natural color in no time! Then if you wanna go lighter- you'll need to get a permanent color- (must have peroxide to go lighter) But that's when you should go to the salon- cause this is when the "killing" of the hair begins!! Good luck!!

I would say you can color it whenever you want since it did not have ammonia, considering that ammonia hair dye is probably ten times worse then non amonia I am sure it would be fine.
