Dye my hair after tracks?

I have been using glue -in tracks for about a year now. My real hair is medium-lenght and i want to stop using tracks. I want to dye my real hair. Should I dye my hair now or wait?

Dye my hair after tracks?

Wait...

And if you can help it dont use glue too much in your hair no matter what your beautician says its not good and is not better than a sewn in... trust me.

Just wait about a good three weeks make sure you've been washing and conditioning regularly, and then go ahead and dye it.

But dye does break black people hair. If your hair is permed make sure you keep it up. If its natural then nevermind your good, it wont break.

Dye my hair after tracks?

idk glue for real wow

Dye my hair after tracks?

Using glue-in tracks for a year, huh? well before you go any further make sure you get all the glue out first.

Ask your stylist what she thinks though...

good luck!

Dye my hair after tracks?

It is always a good idea to give your hair time to breathe and rejuvenate.I would wait awhile and give it some hot oil treatments. Then when you think it's healthier then dye it.Good luck

Dye my hair after tracks?

You should let your hair breathe ( I know that sounds strange) for about two weeks.

Then you can dye it. If your are going black, brown, or red--I suggest a semi permenant rinse. If you are going blonde--then you would have to dye it with a booster probably.

Please make sure that your hair STAYS moisturized----that is important with dye.

And for the record--the ASKER uses weave glue--not standard glue.

Dye my hair after tracks?

You can dye your hair with no problem .. The only thing is you may want to give your hair a rest for about a week and make sure all the glue is gone but u should have no problems trust me.... I don it all the time..... glue and color..ok , but perm and color is where you would run into a problem.

Dye my hair after tracks?

wait that will mess it up

Dye my hair after tracks?

If you have the tracks in, wait until they're out. The dye and the glue from the tracks makes for an icky, hard to remove, combination.

My hair????

my hair is medium brown and it curls at the ends it is right at my shoulders and it is medium thick. how can i make it grow faster????

My hair????

There's no way to really make it grow faster. Just take care of it that way when it does get long it won't be so nasty and scraggly that you eventually have to cut it off anyway. I've heard that massaging your head, like when you're in the shower, can help because it stimulates your blood vessels.

My hair????

go to gnc and get some vitamin E supplements! it helps your hair and nails!

My hair????

Take gelatin tablets!

Help with hair dye.?

Okay, so here's the details. My hair is medium brown. It's curly, and when it's straightened it's past my shoulders, so I guess you could say it's long. I'm in dire need of a change, but what color should I dye my hair? I'm guessing skin tone has something to do with it, so I'll say that I have very fair skin. What should I do? Should I go for something wild? Purple, blue, etc? Something natural? Or highlights? Semi or permanent?

Help with hair dye.?

well i had the EXACT same problem, so i used l'or鑼卆l casting tone-on-tone colorant. i think it was number 20 mahogany. i'm really happy with the reddish-brownish color. it lasts about 6 weeks, and its really easy to apply. it was my first time using it, but i used it perfectly! good luck

Help with hair dye.?

you should die it a brown with a tint of red

Help with hair dye.?

i have warm toned fair skin

so colors with red and orange undertones look best on me

if you have a neutral tone(more yellow) colors with similar tones look best

if you have blue or purple(cool) undertones ash, and cool tones look best

Help with hair dye.?

I dye my hair crazy color all the time. People will think you're just looking for attention. I think you should dye it light brown or dark blonde.

Help with hair dye.?

Alwayse do a semi permanent because no matter what color you die it it will alwase go back and that is some thing you really dont want to make a mistake and never be able to change it.

Help with hair dye.?

some blonde highlights around the face would be nice. you could use bleach for a more dramatic effect.

Why is asian hair super coarse?

well I'm half asian. And my hair is medium-corase, but it DOESNT MOVE AROUND! I want hair like those commercials where its so flowy like a silk scarf! And it feels coarse too. How can I make it SOFT and silky? Like instead of feeling all these "prickes" sorta when I run my fingers through my hair. Then, the ends are "asiany" because they stick out and look all dry. How can I get smooth shiny ends and make my hair finer, not thinner.

Why is asian hair super coarse?

What are you talking about? Asian hair is always silky, always shiny, always thick! No matter what the humidity, Asian hair is always shecksy!

Shiny hair flowing like a scarf? That's called a light shining above the head with a fan.

My gf is white and she's jealous of my hair because it always looks like it's out of a commerical.

Try some conditioner when you shower. The coarseness is not from your Asian genes!

Why is asian hair super coarse?

It's your genetics.

Why is asian hair super coarse?

go to a salon, and buy fancy hair products. if it doesn't work, demand your money back!!

=]

Why is asian hair super coarse?

I'm asian but my hair is soft and not coarse at all. So don't blame it on your asian genes.

Why is asian hair super coarse?

Yeah I'm Asian too and I have soft silky hair as do most asians I know so.....either you over processed your hair, or you need to blame it on your other half of genes, not the asian ones.

Why is asian hair super coarse?

asain is always sliky, not course, some might have texture to it, i think it is your genetics, but you know try a hot oil treatment or a thick leave in conditioner, because it will help smooth it out.

What are good products for my type of hair?

Sorry if this has been asked a lot, but I've looked through similar questions, but nothing has really shot out at me.

I am half black, half white, and my dad has really curly hair, and my mom has straight, fine hair. I have curly hair, about medium sized ringlets, and on my bottom layer, I have coarse hair. What products do you suggest I use for my type of hair? (That are reasonably priced of course!)

What are good products for my type of hair?

Rusk Deep Shine would be very good for your hair type. They make a lusterizing creme that is amazing.

http://www.rusk1.com/products/deepshine/...

If you're looking for something a little less expensive, go to Sally Beauty Supply. They make a line called Aquelle which is EXACTLY like the Deep Shine line but way cheaper (only $4.00-$5.00 a bottle).

What are good products for my type of hair?

oil of olay

What are good products for my type of hair?

you can massage your hair with wheatgerm oil. after shampoo use good conditioner.

What are good products for my type of hair?

you can use pantene conditioner with a seperate shampoo or use frutics conditioner with a seperate shampoo. using the 2 in one wont help. so dont buy the conditioner with the shampoo in it. hope you know what i mean!

What are good products for my type of hair?

well how do u want ur hair?

do u want it curly or straight-be more specific

What are good products for my type of hair?

For conditioning at a low cost just leave in what ever conditioner you use at the moment. Lather it in wrap your hair in plastic wrap and leave it for 1 hour then was out. This stores in the heat and allows your hair to soak in the moisturiser from your conditioner. As for the curls this is one thing that will always be a problem. Curly hair is always going to be dry due to the Constancy of the hair follicle but as long as you keep it brushed and moisturised you should be fine. Try a treatment every-time you go to the hairdresser as well. Also try leaving conditioner in your hair during the day and wash it out when you get home. Hope this helps

What are good products for my type of hair?

Try Garnier Fructis Smoothing Milk. It's been known to smooth hair and moisturize it. Besides, any product by Garnier is fabulous!

What are good products for my type of hair?

whatever you choose, DO NOT buy supermarket shampoo, even ones that claim to be 'used in salons' or 'salon developed'. They are all basically detergent. And please, stay the hell away from pantene, it is full of detergents and silicone, which will make your hair worse, trust me, i've been there.

Go to a salon and talk to a senior hairdresser (they'll have a better idea than a junior) who should advise you on the best way to look after your hair. the salon products can be a little costly, but they are worth the money, and you generally only have to use half as much, so it works out about the same anyway.

Some good brands:

Redken (my fave) you coould possibly try their "Fresh Curls" range

Joico

KMS

Goldwell

Trouble with hair?

Qustion #1...My hair is medium. Not too thick and not too thin. Especially in the winter it's got static. How to I tame my hair to not have static? Also, how do I add volume?

Question #2.... When I shave "down there" The follow day I get little red bumps and they itch and hurt. Is there a shaving gel that reduces the little red bumps? Thx ladies :)

Trouble with hair?

okay for ur first question..umm for me i guess i have similar hair to u..and ugh i hate it too..wat i use is moose and hairspary that alawys keeps it down..for a long time!!!

and ur second question..thats jus an irritation..why dont u try aftershave cream!!

Trouble with hair?

well there is a product called big and sexy ask hair a salon, it gives great volume, but as far as down stairs using a good shaving cream and razor should not give you bumps.

Trouble with hair?

to add volume u could use like garnier frutis. i shave there too. and u could have shaved way to hard. and if its red and really really itchy, you got to stop because it will bleed. it happened to me too, so i just waited and put a little bit of lotion on it. I'm also not sure if there is a shaving gel. you could probably use body soap.

Trouble with hair?

Well what I do is before I straighten my hair, I put a little conditioner or leave-in conditionger in my hair, but not too much. This prevents the static-y hair. And to add volume, spray a little volumizing hairspray through your hair, flip your head upsidedown and style with your blowdryer that way. Then when you flip your head back up, you'll have volume.

For question two, what I do is I use a gentle moisturizer or lotion after I shave. As you shave more and more, the red bumps should appear less and less and they shouldn't itch or hurt as much. You could also try sugaring the bikini line, it reduces the redness and bumps. Hope I heled (=

Asian guy's hair question?

i really like how this dude ask the question...

but just wondering..my hair is abit long already but it is like straight ....how would you style the hair like the links..

i know i can go to a stylist...but i just want to know before hand...(do i need a special cut or trim or gel?)

here's the dude's question

This is kind of a metrosexual question, that I wouldn't ask anyone I know in real life, but since this is anonynmous, no worries; lets have some fun. Should I grow out my hair to medium coiffure like the korean singer http://www.asianhunk.net/choi-si-won-ii/... or should I leave my hair like http://www.asianhunk.net/won-bin/#more-2... who my friends says I resemble, which is exaspering. Anyways give me your opinion which one is the best. Thanks, I owe you one answer:) !

Asian guy's hair question?

I personally like the first one.

I mean both are amazing. Asian guys with either of those haircuts will win anybody over. I think I like a longer cut, execpt just grab some gel and give it a little spike. =]

I have more ideas just message me!

Asian guy's hair question?

I love the first and second photo of the second link. That man has some sexy hair...and one sexy body.

Asian guy's hair question?

First of all, Asian guys are completely gorgeous..

I really like that first picture on the second link..not too short, not too long, but kinda gelled and a little messy..

Amazing!

Good luck :)

I have straightish hair (it has one or two like random waves) i usually straighten it completely though and i have side sweep bangs. my hair is medium length w/ carmel highlights (naturally dark brown) and it bores me too death...

hey....i ve got silky straight hair.....i love my hair but my hair is very difficult to style because they are pretty soft and they remain on my forehead....i just cannot comb my hair because they return to their initial position immidiately..also when i shampoo my hair my hair, they occupy a lot of volume, n my head looks large .....i dont wana use a gel or anything.....the lenght of my hair is Medium.....

What do i do with my silky straight hair?

maybe some layers to make it more bulky, i think shorter hair may be more manageable too?

What do i do with my silky straight hair?

you don't have to use gel. if your hair is super fine you should stay away from heavy conditioners. there are products out there that can help, i don't know of any from the drugstore, but salon products i do, but i can't suggest anything from lack of info on your hair so e-mail me and i will help give me more to go with

More body for hair after perm!?

Hi Iam new on here,I recently retouched my hair, but it's really flat, does anyone have any advice to sort of lift my hair up quicker(roots especially),I have washed it,but it's still fairly flat ,my hair is medium texture and is neck length.Any Ideas are gretaly appreciated.

Also I get regrowth pretty quickly within a week but I need to give my hair a lift for when I put my hairband in

More body for hair after perm!?

after your hair is dry put it up in a ponytail upside down so it straight up at the top of your head. when you let it down, your hair will have so much volume that actually lasts

More body for hair after perm!?

Thankyou for your answer I have lefta message at the end if anyone wants to read, but also thanks [閳绢櫠unk]. Report It

More body for hair after perm!?

Use alot of mousse and also try either blow drying your hair upside down, or use a diffuser. Also make sure you do plenty of treatments otherwise your hair will get quite frizzy.

More body for hair after perm!?

Get your hairdresser to go in and notch your hair. Notching means they will go down to the roots and cut a few strands about an inch long, so the surrounding hair will stand alittle fuller. When they do this all over, you will have more body and volume...

More body for hair after perm!?

blow dry your hair with your head upside down...it gives it a lift and a body...

Should i cut my hair like this? if so, how should i go about doing it?

my hair is medium length, layered, side bangs, etc - it's been the same for years. the most i've done to it is colored it. i've been thinking about chopping it all off in a bob but i think that would just be too drastic, but i've been looking into this type of a hairstyle:

1. http://i5.tinypic.com/732rudd.jpg (the hairstyle very casual looking, you can kinda see layers)

2. http://a754.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/ima... (the layers teased up so her hair looks volumey)

3. http://i10.tinypic.com/6jmifjr.jpg (the hair kinda "scene" looking, mainly just posting to show the layers)

4. http://i2.tinypic.com/6jkhf0h.jpg (all her hair pulled back except the layers. would this be a good pic to bring?)

i hope you all kinda get the idea, i've been a fan of that for a long time and i'm so desparate for a change. here is a picture of me (http://i2.tinypic.com/82kymiq.jpg , most recent picture i have). what'd ya think? :) :) thank you all for answers!

Should i cut my hair like this? if so, how should i go about doing it?

I think you could definitely pull this off! Show your hairdresser these pictures, and tell her directly that you don't want the top layer mega short, but you do want a change, with edgier layers (you could also say jagged, or piecey layers) and ask for some ideas on how to style your hair if you get it cut so you can make it look like the girl in the pictures.

I hope this helps!

Should i cut my hair like this? if so, how should i go about doing it?

yeah it would look good. not pic 4 though, that ones just weird looking.

Should i cut my hair like this? if so, how should i go about doing it?

the 1st and 2nd pic is cute if u have light brown hair go for the 1st one if u have black hair go for the 2nd one.................since u got light brown hair definatly go for the 1at one =)

Should i cut my hair like this? if so, how should i go about doing it?

I think the 2nd one looks qt

Should i cut my hair like this? if so, how should i go about doing it?

I love the first one . you look pretty in that one.

Should i cut my hair like this? if so, how should i go about doing it?

Wash and straighten your hair

Bend over and brush all of your hair forward.

Decide how long you want to the longest part to be and cut straight across (while hair is still brushed forward).

Brush hair back and it will be in several layers. You may need to shape the front around the face a little more, but the back have different levels of layers.

Hair must be very straight for the layers to be even

Make sure that you cut straight across the hair, do not cut at an angle

Always err on the side of long, it is easy to repeat the process and do it again, but if you cut it too short, there is nothing you can do about it

Should i cut my hair like this? if so, how should i go about doing it?

luv the first one...the other ones r 2 scene.

Should i cut my hair like this? if so, how should i go about doing it?

i can see you pulling this off....and ya they are going to be giving u real short layers on top.plus it's hair it grows back.change is always something good.=]

Help! Need some hair styles!?

Ok so here's the thing... I usually wear my hair up in a pony tail, in a messy bun, or I straighten it and wear it loose. Im kinda tired of those styles... can anyone give me some suggestions for hair styles?

btw... my hair is medium legnth ( a few inches below my shoulders)

thanks in advance!

Help! Need some hair styles!?

shave the sides and style it into a wicked mohawk

Help! Need some hair styles!?

Next time you straighten your hair and wear it down add a cute headband, barette, or pull half of it back into a ponytail.

Help! Need some hair styles!?

well you can mix it up and straighten it and on your layers curl some of them it looks really cute! and like the person above a cute headband or hair accessory would be great!

Help! Need some hair styles!?

Try wearing headbands. You could also experiment with pins by pinning back different sections of your hair... or you could try braiding your hair! Two braids on either side of your shoulders are cute. Also, you could pull back two sections and clip them back so that it's down and up at the same time

I am 13. I am african american. I want a change for 2008. For my hair I mean. My hair is medium length. I am african american but I have really nice hair. Its thin but it gets really straight with just a wash and set. But anyway i want to know what i should do with my hair for the new year. My mom said she does NOT want me to cut it or add weave and my hair dresser said that she dont want to put highlights because it could potentially ruin my hair. Idk what else to do with it. Maybe curl it or something. Ive already tried falt twists %26amp;%26amp; twists. any other suggestions? Can u please rate me from 1 to 10. Im not desperate I just want to know what u think. Know that i wear glasses too. But they arent dorky. I dont have a pic of me thats recent with glasses.

Plzzzzz help. its a hair situation!?

Currently i have long hair and have been learning alot so...

i do not have a relaxer i stopped getting them 5 years ago ( and i've only have 3 relaxers in my life time so this is all natural) so i can show you how to take care of hair with or without a relaxer. With relaxers retaining moisture is key

1. The shampoo, unfortunately many black women are using shampoos with alcohol and petroleum jelly. step away from them. Use Aveda's shampoo.. specifically the name is Sap Moss...go to the website. I use it, i love it, it mouisterizes my hair and the products are natural. i have also heard that KeraCare is great for relaxered hair.

2. Okay, step two condition it and then it is time to comb it out, Do not use a brush on you hair when it is wet,,it will hate you for it then break off in revenge. Put your your sections use a big tooth comb, to untangle it

3. Do a hot oil treatment atleast once a month with extra virgin olive oil...repeat..EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil..not the regular stuff. unfortunately i have yet to take this step however my hair is doing great. You will also need protein and deep conditioning treatments alteast once a month.

4. Okay on the daily basis you need to pay close attention to your hair...i recommend conditioning your scalp(3-4 times a week) and your ends(everyday) so that they will not get dry and unhealthy Petroleum jellly and mineral oil are weapons of mass destruction ( in other words do not use grease) it does so much harm to your hair it cannot be all explained here. So you ask what do I use...well natural oils grapeseed oil ( use it for hair it deflects heat so it is good for flat iron users like us)

jojoba oil(i use this for my scalp), extra virgin olive oil, sesame oil, emu oil, coconut oil...all these natural oils and more love you..i promise.I also use Aveda's Brilliant ( the name of the brand) emollient for my ends.

5. Next..if you want your hair straight but still be natural it is time to get a freakin good flat iron.,i have the Chi(however chi flat irons do not work in France)..it does the job but I recommend getting the Sedu because of the good reviews. make sure to protect your hair..i have so thermal protector from Aveda. When flat ironing your hair do not let the iron stay on your hair for too long, just 1-2 quick swipes.I strongly advise against flat ironing hair with relaxers.

6. If you have a relaxer ( i have heard and seen that Affirm is the best relaxer) don't continue to relaxer all your hair everytime you go to the salon..just the new growth and try to stretch relaxers as long as possible. Rollersets under hooded dryers, with the lowest setting at possible temperature is recommended.

7. You do not need to trim your hair everytime you go to the salon maybe every 3 to 6 months.

8. Wrap your hair in a satin or silk scarf to prevent damage before you go to bed.

9. Eat healthy, drink lots of water,

10 take multivitamins, and fish oil pills you can get from GNC.

Follow these basics steps, can manuver them according to your needs ( like some don't do oil or or protein treatments, some oil everyday while others once a week, some people wash their hair once a week while others once every two weeks , but you have to the basics.)

Plzzzzz help. its a hair situation!?

beg your mom to let you layer you bangs...

then you should dye the bottem layer of just your bangs.

i did that and it is awsome...

for real...

:]

Plzzzzz help. its a hair situation!?

if i were you i would use curl defining foam after you get out of the shower+when your hair dries. It will add a bit of a wave to it

a curl would be fun too!

good luck! +happy new year

Plzzzzz help. its a hair situation!?

You are a beautiful girl and you would look even BETTER with longer hair. So grow it out. If not that then you should put higlights in it (any color would look great)! Mayb you could also put it up with some cute clips! Hope this Helped ;)

Plzzzzz help. its a hair situation!?

I think it is already in a super cute style. To dress it up for New Years, just get the ends all flipped out with a flat iron and sweep your bangs to one side.

Plzzzzz help. its a hair situation!?

Shorten the lenhth of your bangs so it does not overwhelm your pretty eyes. It should just tip those gorgeous brows and brow bone I see hidden underneath. As suggested before, instead of a blunt even cut on the bangs, layer them a little chunky and side sweep the bang but keep the centre cut on the overall hair style.

Use a thinner hair band for your face type. One that is not too thin but not as thick. Consider about 1/8-1/4 inch wide bands and consider a matte metallic (not shiny) and material cloth covered for the young fresh look. Shiny wide plastic is too youthful for your age now.

I like to see your hair just past shoulder tip length but still keep the layer in the front like you have it now but begin the layering at just the bottom of your cheek bone coming down.

This will give you a bit of a sophisticated look but not older woman. It should give you a good "tween" look that is not girly but not older woman.

Otherwise, your overall hairstyle is great for you just the bangs are overwhelming and taking center stage of the hair style.

Good luck and much prayers

Plzzzzz help. its a hair situation!?

Maybe you can have spiral curls,it can last up to 2 weeks. It would be very cute.

Good luck and Happy New Year

Best hair straightner?

yea i wanna get a hair straightner that works well aand lasts a while and is cheap. i can only spend 30 bucks TOPS! my hair is medium longish and not really that thick, and wavy frizzy. it would b awesome if it had a curling iron 2 but it doesnt have 2. so like if u have a really good one or something???? thanx-lauren :):)

Best hair straightner?

My hair is long and think, and wavy/curly. I agree with the people who said you can't find a good one for cheap. I have 2 different straightners that I like, but they are about the same, one was $15 and the other about $40. The best one I've ever seen was my friend's "Chi" but they are at least $100 (at Sam's Club). It straightened all my hair PERFECTLY in 20 minutes. It normally takes an hour or more. It looked so good and I've never been able to find another one that was even close to as good for less money. But, everyone I know (including my two cousins who have gone through cosmetic/hair school) agrees that the ceramic straighteners are the best by far (one of mine is, and it is really nice, but it doesn't really speed up the time much) Good luck! I hope you can sfind something you like.

Best hair straightner?

you cannt get a good straightener for thirty bucks.

get 100 and then buy the sedu(:

Best hair straightner?

i thnk conair would work best...

Best hair straightner?

My hair color came out too light- can i use another dye over it?

i dyed my hair a shade thats about 2-3 shades darker than my original hair color (medium/dark brown) . now it doesnt look as dark as i wanted it to. it might be because i shampooed right after dyeing cuz my hair was so dirty. people say they can barely tell a difference though! i want it to be darker and more noticeable, and it looks like the ends are lighter than the rest of my hair. can i put another dark shade over it safely now? or no? should i use the same color/brand as before or can i use a different one?

My hair color came out too light- can i use another dye over it?

You ccould go buy a toner that is the shade you want your hair to be.

Wait atleast 1 week before coloring your hair again.

Buy shampoo/conditioner that is made for dark hair.

Hope this helps.

:D

My hair color came out too light- can i use another dye over it?

I think you have to wait a few weeks before dying it again, or that might just be with lighter colors. You should call a salon or beauty store and ask for their opinion.

My hair color came out too light- can i use another dye over it?

hint wait for a month before changing the color because if u dont u could loose ur hair nd use a brand name one because those usally work better

My hair color came out too light- can i use another dye over it?

well, go get either the same shade of color or a darker shade. do not wash your hair 24 hours before you color it. don't ask me why, its just one of the precaution things they tell you to do. color your hair, usually start at the roots and work your way to the ends, unles you bleach it. wash it out and only use the conditioner that comes with the hair dye. if it doesn't come with conditioner, then don't use any. don't wash your hair 24 hours after you color it to wash it. don't use shampoos that are for dry scalp becuase they usually take fake color out of hair.

Do hair color shampoos that are lighter than the hair have any effect at all?

Ihave drak brown to black hair with medium brwn highlits. If I by a color shampoo that is lighter, like blond or light brown, will it make any difference on my hair at all? or is it that only the shampoos that are darker than hair do have any effect?

I'm not interested in permanent colring.

Do hair color shampoos that are lighter than the hair have any effect at all?

no they don't have any lifting power....if your hair is very porous meaning dry damaged it might take to the color and really soak it up but their is no chance that you could become lighter in color only darker

Do hair color shampoos that are lighter than the hair have any effect at all?

No, those shampoos don't have much effect at all.

They're really bad shampoos because they actually include oil in their formula, which makes your hair greasy before you even step out of the shower. Who wants that?

Do hair color shampoos that are lighter than the hair have any effect at all?

NO Im sorry. I have actually tried this b/c my hair is about the same as your (dark, dark brown w/ red highlights) You might want to try a temp color that washes out in about 10 washes or a demi permenant that fades away in about 3months that way you dont have to wait for it to grow off, which takes forever

Do hair color shampoos that are lighter than the hair have any effect at all?

The only way for your shampoo to lighten your hair would be if you are using a bad shampoo...aka a cheap shampoo.

Do hair color shampoos that are lighter than the hair have any effect at all?

color shampoos only enhance the color you have

for blonde's it could change brassiness by using a blue shampoo

redheads and brunettes using a reddening shampoo can make it shinier

if you are looking to do a little change with your color.. try to use a color mousse after you wash and condition your hair

it won't make it blonder.. but you can add a slight red cast to your hair that is pretty on darker hair

and it washes out

Help me with hair?

My hair is medium length i guess.....it's past the shoulders....and I have side bangs. Right now i'm not sure what hairstyles will look good with my hair since i've never grown it this long before. My hair is a dark dark brown as well, if this helps anyone. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Also can you give me the steps for achieving the hairstyle? Thanks!

Help me with hair?

Normally, when u have side bags, or when u got few extra pounds, doesnt mean ur face looks like ur. I will base my opinnion in the way ur face is, if is like a circle, etc. I got same problem a couple years ago, so i asked an expert, since my hair was very limp and thin he said to me that i should use it short so it will make it look fuller, but after i loose that weight i asked again and they say i can use it as long as i want to, but that i can improove my self with some hightlights, medium blonde, and i think it can work for u, try making some dry curls on it to and a nice form in the part of ur hair that goes on ur face... hope this help you...

Help me with hair?

Why dont you take yourself to a bueaty salon and ask them thats crazy asking those stupid questions on here

Help me with hair?

I would probably get your hair cut in layers and get some light brown highlights.

Also, once that's done, I would blow it straight, make sure there is no part, but keep the side bangs.

Help me with hair?

just go to a salon, and look through their magazines/books and pick one out.

or look for some styles online that you think looks nice.

This site has helped me - www.thehairstyler.com

%26lt;33333333

I need help on curling hair...plz : )?

Get a good mouse from Treseme, or whatever. Dry your hair with a diffuser and use shampoo and conditioner every time you shower (try using curl-enhancing kinds.)

I need help on curling hair...plz : )?

try sponge rollers they come in many sizes -smaller they are tighter the curl

I need help on curling hair...plz : )?

you can use frizzie hair products such as 3 min miracle conditioner by assuie or use the silk drops for frizz for perfect curls when hair is wet use non heat rollers and assuies aussome volume spray gel then blow dry all the way. the spray gel holds without having that gel or hair spray look

I need help on curling hair...plz : )?

i know this sounds wierd but

i also have thick, frizzy hair

so what i do is when u get

out of the shower i towel dry

it until still wet bit not soaking

wet and i put 2 in 1 shampoo

and conditioner in my hair and

i scruch it just like you would with

gel. but it doesnt make youre hair

stiff like gel it makes it more loose.

good luck!

I need help on curling hair...plz : )?

When your hair is wet, put a styling aid that you like, maybe a soft gel or a mud-like product. Get a huge diffuser and cup your hair in it until it is dry. You could also wait until your hair is dry and then take vertical sections of hair (from the top to bottom) hold your hair out from your head parallel with the floor and hold the curling iron vertically and curl each section all around yor head.

Cute hair styles?

Alright, so I have an inch shorter then shoulder length hair, and I need some cute, Summery hairstyle ideas that are easy to do.

Any answers would be appreciated!

PS- my hair is medium thick and sandy blonde... if you need that info.

Cute hair styles?

I'm growing out my stacked bob so I'm working with the same as you. I've got pin straight hair and so if I want waves, I use lots of mousse and a diffuser with my blowdryer. If I want it curlier, I use hot rollers %26amp; relax the curl with pomade %26amp; shine booster. This looks best the day after. I use a flat-iron when I want it smooth. What I learned is that you need to experiment with your hair %26amp; hair products when you have some free time. Also, think of someone's hairstyle that you like %26amp; try to recreate it on yourself.

Cute hair styles?

Keep it long on the bottom, layered on top (the shortest layer starting around the bottom of your ear and longest layers 2" below your chin) and have long bangs. Invest in a straightener (at least $100 for one you'll love) and try getting some dark/light streaks. I just had that exact hair style done and I also started out with similar hair that you just described and now everyone I know comments on my hair style like crazy. Plus its super easy to style because a lot of the volume was taken out.

Good luck! :-)

Hair different color than your eyebrows?

anybody else get annoyed with that?

like dark brown hair with blonde eyebrows??

anyways, i have dirty blonde hair..with light brown eyebrows..im planning on dying my hair a medium brown..still gonna look right? or should i dye my eyebrows?

Hair different color than your eyebrows?

You should leave them. If you are worried that the look is too drastic, which it really shouldn't be, then I would leave some of your blonde in for highlights....not only will it be cute for summer, but the color from your hair to your face will blend beautifully!

Hair different color than your eyebrows?

yes, and never dye your eyebrows[just to let you know]=] Report It

Hair different color than your eyebrows?

Yes

Yes i get annoyed with that

Hair different color than your eyebrows?

That's not that outlandish, it's not as if you have jet black eyebrows and platinum blonde hair.

In fact, lots of people I know who have dirty blonde/light brown hair have eyebrows that aren't exactly uniform to the hair on their head.

I wouldn't dye your eyebrows for 3 reasons: it'll look unnatural, you'll get roots and (most importantly) it can be dangerous--any package of hair color you buy will tell you explicitly not to dye your eyelashes or brows.

If it really bothers you, a good solution would be to buy either a brow pencil or brow powder to slightly darken your brows, but even that I think will be unneccesary.

Hair different color than your eyebrows?

I have blonde hair and brown eyebrows. It is a little different but I don't care.

If it bothers you, you could dye your hair or eyebrows.

I personally like blonde hair best.

But, I think it is too much trouble to dye eyebrows all the time.

Hair different color than your eyebrows?

If you want your eyebrows dyed, please have a professional do it. I tried it once and it burned my eyes (even though it never went into my eyes). Just the fumes alone entering my eyes were horrible.

Hair different color than your eyebrows?

I get SO annoyed with that!! The people don't even seem to realize that they have that! Ugh! It is so fake looking, and you can just tell that they dyed their hair. And you should definitely dye your eyebrows too, or else it will look strange. Maybe if your eyebrows were a little darker, it would work, but no, you should dye them, definitely!! ;)

Hair different color than your eyebrows?

I'd dye the eyebrows first to match you hair colour, your natural hair colour was the one made to suit you plus sometimes dyeing your hair can cause damage if you dye it too much. Or you could get highlights the colour of your eyebrows it would really set things off a bit.

Hair different color than your eyebrows?

It bothers me if they have blue eyebrows and red hair. But otherwise if it's natural, they can't do anything about it. I don't care.

Hair different color than your eyebrows?

yeah blonde hair with brownish eyebrows. my dad has brown hair and blonde eyebrows lol. no i think you should leave your eyebrows natural. they say blondes have darker eyebrows and brunettes usually have lighter eyebrows.

How should i color my hair? (details inside)?

i have dark brown/black hair and medium tan skin. i have red hightlights in my hair but they looks kind of burgandy and brassy now, and i have blond ones, too. i want to do something new and kind of wild, also my mom doesn't really want to let me dye my hair a different solid color but i bet i could persuade her. anyway i am trying to think of what i want to do with my hair in about 2 months when i go back to the slaon. any suggestions?

How should i color my hair? (details inside)?

Yes.

Solid white always makes a drastic impression.

What are the best hair dyes?

I just got my hair dyed at the hair dresser. I wanted a medium brown, but she said I should go for a light brown. Anyways, she had done my hair before and knew that I tended to pull out a red hair colour, so she added a bunch of ash to avoid that. My roots turned out orange (red), where the rest of my hair turned out a light brown. Well, my roots are extremely annoying me right now.

First off, I just got my hair done a few days ago. If I dye it within the next week, will my hair get extremely dry and damaged?

Second, what are the best hair dyes out there? I want one that will dye my hair a medium brown, and that colour ONLY. Also I want to be able to find it somewhere like Walmart. P.S. my hair is naturally light brown.

If you have any suggestions, that would be great. Thanks!

What are the best hair dyes?

OK, I think I am such a pro at this hair color mess since I've gone through this so many times. It wasn't until I found a really good hair professional that my hair is just as I want it. My hair is light brown but she used "blue" base to rid the red and orange natural tone to my hair. I now don't waste my money on box color since it always comes out different and damages my hair.

Here's what I would do. I would return to your stylist and have her correct the orange tone. I would not do it myself with over the counter products. They are very damaging to your hair.

Tell her you don't like the orange tone. If she is a professional she will correct it to your liking and will not charge you. If she disputes this, go to another salon and have them fix it. Then I would never return to the other person.

There are so many really good hair colorists out there. I'm not sure where you live, but if you do a google search for your area you can find a good professional place to fix this. It's not that difficult to repair this orange issue for a real professional.

Once your hair color is corrected, you need a deep conditioner.

Good luck.

What are the best hair dyes?

The best hair dyes out there are the ones that are in the box with some girl on it and of course one from the store.

What are the best hair dyes?

ouch, sounds like you need a new stylist. i would just go back to her and get her to fix it. you won't be able to do it yourself.

there is nothing wrong with buying box color, except you won't be able to apply properly...it's all about application.

Your hair stylist should have done your roots first, and then she should have pulled through a color on the rest to match your roots. Maybe talk to the salon owner and let them know you want your hair fixed but u are hesitant because you don't want your hair fried.

If you buy box color and put it all over, your roots may end up a nice ash, med/light brown, but the rest of your hair will look flat, overly ashy and just over-processed. Go back to the salon.

What are the best hair dyes?

Nice and Easy is a good dye and it is easy to use.

How can i make my hair soft and not rough?

Aight everytime i shower and get out my hair feels fine, but say i go to sleep well when i wake up my hair becomes very rough and hard to comb. I usually have to use alot of water, gel, hairspray to keep it down. I hate going throught this routine day after day. So can yall please tell me some things i should do to keep this from happening and i'd like to keep my hair smooth like almost wavy. Also if i need some kind of products go ahead and recommend some.

my hair is black but sum ppl say its a very dark brown.

Also my hair is medium lenght, meaning its not too short but not long it comes up past my ears and my hair is naturally curly . hope dat helps yall...id like products and not things with food.

How can i make my hair soft and not rough?

You should try steaming your hair in the saloon at least once a month or maybe two....it does work....i have a friend who straightened and curled and straightened her hair and it leaves her with hair that is very rough but she got it to be soft again by constantly steaming it and you could use some hot oil treatment this usually softened the hair. Good luck

How can i make my hair soft and not rough?

any kind of body cream if you hav short hair! use it as a styling product.

How can i make my hair soft and not rough?

maybe it's the chemicals in your water. for products hookup with www.precioushue.biz for all natural products that actually repair %26amp; grow hair.

How can i make my hair soft and not rough?

First I would say conditioner, either leave it in for a couple minutes or get a leave in conditioner. That should make a huge difference, use a good hydrating conditioner, such as Biolage hydrating balm or some other hydrating cond.

Then if you can find a smoothing gel that would work well for you. Matrix has a really good one in a line called Vavoom Smooth Me.

Good luck.

I like white/silver hair i have dark roots with w/white rest is bl/blon can hair be colored to white

I have very long hair and have bleached for years w/ various products. hair is in good condition/no splits. natural hair is medium dark w/white i want to go silver and not have to bleach regularly to hide dark hair and because the contrast is significant between the bleached and natural when I tried going to all dark and starting over letting it grow out natural from being bleached for years it was not attractive to me/family, bleach to silver or white would be the color I need to choose. can someone tell me if this is possible?

I like white/silver hair i have dark roots with w/white rest is bl/blon can hair be colored to white/silver?

U can get UR hairdresser to bleach UR hair right down, depending on how UR hair takes to the bleach U may have to bleach 2-3 times. This can really stress UR hair, then they can tone it 2a real silver blonde tone. I have silver blonde like U want and i must warn it is high maintenance. U will need to get your roots done about every 4 weeks, and i reccommend using REDKEN - pearl blonde conditioner. it is a toner and treatment conditioner for your hair. and use it every time U wash UR hair. Leave it in for about 5mins before u wash out. this keeps the blondes from turning yellow and the more u use it the more silver tone it will give to your hair.

I like white/silver hair i have dark roots with w/white rest is bl/blon can hair be colored to white/silver?

theres colours that are called "hi-lift tints" which aren't bleaches, they are permanent tints but they lift richt up to blonde shades. even silver/white blonde shades. you should try that. or you can get highlights to break up the regrowth so it wouldnt be so noticeable. if you want to be rid of regrowth forever, you're going to have to stop your hair from growing. so either you put up with the regrowth or deal with colouring it all the time.

I like white/silver hair i have dark roots with w/white rest is bl/blon can hair be colored to white/silver?

Very interesting!!!!I've been wanting to change my natural color of light brwn., to white/silver,and keeping my roots somewhat dark. From what I understand, you must bleach all your color out, and wait a few days, and then re-color your hair your new desired color. If you decide to go back to natural color , pick the closest matching shade and then dye your hair. That way when it starts to grow out ,it won't be unattractive to you or your loved ones. Good luck and have fun with it. Having a professional do this, will make all the difference in the world.

Help me with my hair!!!!!!!!!!?

i went to the salon today and my hair is medium brown. but in the summer i get natural highlights and they grew out so i asked my stylist to dye my hair a little darker and give me really long layer! when she was done my hair wasreally dark and almost red! she didn't letme see the color before she put it in but i thought she whould have made a better chose! my hair cut is horrible and short!!!!!!! i hate it! help me by telling me ways to get rid of my dye job at home and how to make my hair grow faster!

Help me with my hair!!!!!!!!!!?

anything you do at home I wouldnt suggest. I go to school for hair andmakeup and We fix alot of at home mistakes thats where most stylists get most of there buisness from. I would go back and explain to her that this isnt going to work I didnt like when youd id it but i didnt want to be rude. or you can go to a diff one which I do suggest and see what they can do for you. About growing your hair back out take prenatal vitamens thats the only thing I can think of nothing really makes it grow faster from what my instructers have told us I take them and they help my nails and skin. I am currently growen my hair back out and its growen a little bit more then usual. HOpe that helps

Help me with my hair!!!!!!!!!!?

idk how you can make it grow faster but you can buy a hair color romover kit and dye any color after you use that.........i kno ive used them they work.......hope it helps :D

Help me with my hair!!!!!!!!!!?

You know what? I would try it for awhile and see what reactions you get. It sounds to me like it came out kinda pretty. Sometimes we have to give things a chance before we panic. See what you think in a couple of weeks.

Help me with my hair!!!!!!!!!!?

Just think about it this way, at least you didn't get so mad about the dye and hair cut job that you just decided to shave it all off and start over. --That's what I did.

Just wait a few week, dye it a different color and don't worry so much it will grow back.

Oh ya and tell everyone you know how bad of a job your hair dresser did. -- That's what I would do.

Straightening hair?

okay so my hair is medium lentgh, it's been dyed way too much (i've stopped now), and it's kinda dry. My hair's very wavy but POOFY. Therefore, I straighten it. I need some products that will keep my hair looking good. Any recommendations?

Hair help? Please reply.?

What hair colour is 'hot' now?

I'm a chinese. average skin. have long straight hair but the top is layered short. currently hair colour : medium ash brown. my hair had grown bout 3 inch since the last dying. i was thinking bout changing colour. what colour is in and suits me? any colour to make me look fairer? thanx...

What hair colour is 'hot' now?

With your skin tones stick to blacks or browns. An auburn could also be really pretty.

What hair colour is 'hot' now?

For the fall time a lot of people and celebrities are dying their hair dark brown

What hair colour is 'hot' now?

Black would make you look fairer! But as far as any other color, I say get a non-permanent color and experiment!

What hair colour is 'hot' now?

I SAy dark brownish-red.. its different but still looks hot

What hair colour is 'hot' now?

I like black alot but blonde w/highlights is a timeless classic.

Also,it depends on your natural haircolor %26amp; your skin tone. For example if you have a darker complexion blonde or red probably wouldn't look right. Also, don't do pink or blue or green, you get the idea it just make s you look dirty

Hair dye question...?

I want to dye my hair again but I can't afford to go to a salon right now so I am debating weather to just live with it or do it myself.

I used to dye my hair ever 3 months or so and since i've stopped, I noticed that the bottom part of my hair is medium brown, then my summer root growth is lighter (sun bleached) and my new winter root growth is darker brown. I am scared to do a box dye because I don't want to just darken it and still have the tri-shade hair. I think I need a filler but I can't afford it. Is there any or product I can use to alleviate the issue?

Hair dye question...?

Try Clairol's Natural Instincts. It is a long lasting, no ammonia, semi-permanent haircolor. I suggest this because, if your goal is to get back to your natural haircolor, this is the ONLY way. Permanent color has ammonia and uses a much higher volume of developer. The way it works is first it lifts out some of your natural color pigments, then it deposits artificial pigments. This is why when permanent color fades you see a root line and redder, brassier tones.

Pick a Natural Instinct's color close to your root, but if you are scared it might be too dark you can either go with the next lighter shade, or mix the two colors together. This will not lift your natural color, so as it fades out you won't be left with a root line. Another benefit is better color retention on the pre-lifted hair, because you did not give further lifting as would have been done with the permanent color. Although this is considered a semi-permanent color, when being used for corrective color in this situation, it is always the top choice;

less damage

better color retention on pre-lifted hair

no visible out growth

If mixing two bottles, add 1/2 of each bottle of color to one of the bottles of developer, shake well, and apply. Tightly recap the unused portions of unmixed color, store with the unused bottle of developer, and you have your next color application right there. It is alright to open a bottle of color and store for later use, if NOT mixed with developer. Hope this helps!

p.s. One more thing, when doing "touch-ups", the directions will tell you to apply to your root first, don't. Apply to your entire head so it is on roots and ends for the same length of time. Sounds not like you are trying to cover grey, but tone down too light ends and shaft, so you want those areas to get maximum deposit (just 5 minutes at the end of color time won't do it).

Hair dye question...?

You need to dye it darker, or spend the money at the salon for a touch up.

Use a home kit that matches the shade on the end of your hair, and do the roots first, then after 10 mins spread it out through to the ends and leave it all for another 20mins. Then rinse out.

Hair dye question...?

Go to the local beauty supply company and talk with their personnel -- you'll get good advice. They'll carry the products you need too.

What hair color brings out brown eyes the MOST!??

My eyes are medium brown, and currently my hair is medium brown with some faded blonde highlights. (the highlights are from about a year ago). Its also short (a TINY bit below my shoulders). Which hair color would make my brwon eyes "pop"?! Im thinking blonde, but im not sure. Anyone?

What hair color brings out brown eyes the MOST!??

i also think blonde? but blonde dye can look really unnatural sometimes, so maybe go for a lighter shade of brown? maybe honey brown or something lol

What hair color brings out brown eyes the MOST!??

could be auburn, black or dark blonde. Not light blonde because the hair would pop up, not the eyes.

Good luck :)

You can consult your stylist first to see what she/he recommends according not only to your eye color but with your skin color, your head and body shape.

:)

What hair color brings out brown eyes the MOST!??

a lighter shade of brown would bring out the eyes, you know the color that shines in the sun..it looks beautiful like that...also add some eyeshadow and dark brown eyeliner to make them pop for real! maybe a light brown hair color would be suggested..

Good luck!!!

Ugh!! Super hair disaster! I tried to go Ash Blonde, but instead my hair is orange/red.?

Ok, so i attempted to go lighter and bought L'OREAL preference in ash blonde. My hair is medium/light brown with some faded highlights it in from last year. I really want to go blonde, but money is tight so i took things into my own hands. Now im stuck with nasty orange looking hair...is it possible to buy another blonde dye and redye my hair now that its lighter? Will my hair get redder? or actually turn blonde? Pleasee any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Ugh!! Super hair disaster! I tried to go Ash Blonde, but instead my hair is orange/red.?

I'm a hairdresser and you did right by buying an ash product if your hair is brown because brown will pull orange and red and ash cuts that but home product doesn't tell you how much or how little ash is in the product. If you find it light enough you probably would be OK to use another ash over it to cut the orange but if it is still to dark you will have to go darker or go to the salon and have it lightened, because in the drug stores they can only sell product with what they consider a safe amount of peroxide in for anyone to use and at a salon we can use double the strength. The reason I said if it is light enough is because color over color will only go darker not lighter in order to go lighter after you have colored your hair you must bleach it, now that my have been your problem in the first place if you has a previous color all over your hair.

Oh yeah ash is green and it cuts red/orange/yellow

Ugh!! Super hair disaster! I tried to go Ash Blonde, but instead my hair is orange/red.?

My advise is to never buy anything that says "Ash"

I have been in this situation way too many times.

Best thing to do is get a bleach rinse.

Ugh!! Super hair disaster! I tried to go Ash Blonde, but instead my hair is orange/red.?

Go to a beauty supply store like Sally's and ask the girls in there...they should be able to help you. You should look for a level 7 blonde with 40 volume developer....maybe even throw in a little packet of bleach for a kicker...Good Luck!

Ugh!! Super hair disaster! I tried to go Ash Blonde, but instead my hair is orange/red.?

Yeah for future reference never buy ASH. It turns my hair green.....

Ugh!! Super hair disaster! I tried to go Ash Blonde, but instead my hair is orange/red.?

My guess is that that your hair was too dark for the product you used, it just wasn't powerful enough to lift enough colour off your hair. You would've needed a bleach/pre-lightener to properly remove your natural colour. (Because colour doesn't lift colour, you need bleach/peroxide for it). Most you can expect from a colour is an end result that is a tone, perhaps two tones lighter than your own.

First colour to lift are the cool tones, to red/orange, yellow and finally blond.. provided you use a product that is strong enough. And this colour wasn't strong enough... since your hair is orange now.

If you think your hair isn't too damaged from this attempt, you can try a pre-lightener/colour remover to go properly blond. If there is a salon supplier near you, speak to a professional and they'll help you to choose the right product(s). You may need to remove all or most of your own colour and then dye your hair to the desired blond tone.

The fact that you chose an ash blond colour didn't cause the redness of your hair just now. In fact, the ash in the product is something that is used to offset redness. Had you used a golden blond colour, you would've ended up with an even stronger orange hair.

If your natural brown is a warm brown, chances are that even when your hair has been lightened, the end result may well have warm golden or red tone to it. A professional would use an ash blond tint after lightening to balance out the warm tones in the hair.

If you do choose to use a lightener, your hair may be too damaged to be dyed again with a permanent colour. Get a good reconstructor/conditioner, hot oil/hair mask treatment and give your hair a rest. Meanwhile use a non-permanent (8-10 washes) colour of your desired tone. It doesn't harm your hair anywhere as much as a permanent one.

Good luck.. Going blond is always much more difficult than brown/red.

I need makeup/hair advice and tips?

i have medium skin tone.

my hair is medium brown wavy and straight (in different areas)

my eyes are gray

i have an oval/heart shaped face

i need a good hair style that i can do in under 30 mins

i also need makeup that is romantic but a little outgoing

and a good nail polish color.

any other tips for what to do with makeup and hair will really help

I need makeup/hair advice and tips?

Hair:ok well leaving it down and curling it with a thick barrel curling iron would look cute or try a simple pony tail with a head band/accessory like a flower to add some spice.

Makeup: i would go for light purples..light blues..or classic smokey eye with gray..just avoid bright colors. for cheeks a classic pink and neutral colors for lips, my favorite lipgloss site http://www.covergirl.com, (9$) outlast double lip shine is awesome...for romantic liner/mascara..try a volumizing in rich black like Max Factor Volume Couture (which is also waterproof, for liner try Max Factors waterproof maxeye liner in rich black it just glides on for me.

Nails: teals..hot pinks and mint greens are really popular and i think would look great.

Misc: just pick something that will reflect you..and dont go overboard..simple and classic is the key!!

I need makeup/hair advice and tips?

Your best bet is to go buy a fashion mag like Allure or Glamour. These usually have great make-up tips and the newest colors, use the models skin tones and eyes as a judge to rather you think the look would be good for you. Also, you can go to http://www.sephora.com/ and sign up to recieve thier free ad magazines. They always put the latest trends and how to do them in there. Good luck!

I need help on my hair?

i have medium to dark brown hair and medium brown eye brows and i dont know what color to dye my hair!! i need help.

I need help on my hair?

You could go a darker brown, a lighter brown, close to a blonde or you could get caramel highlights, red highlights, or blonde highlights. Pick up and magazine or book and look through it, I'm sure you'll find something. If you're going to a salon, ask or bring them a picture... it will help!

I need help on my hair?

Go get some advice from a stylist.

I need help on my hair?

it sounds like you have a nice hair color now but if you want to maybe a brown with just a hint of red or a boost of color.

I need help on my hair?

I have a question about hair dye.. can you help?

I dyed my hair with a color for exclusively dark hair and unfortunately only the roots took. Is there a way I can correct it without having to go to a professional? I am not planning on keeping the lighter color, I want a dark color now. Please help!

Additional Details

My hair was medium brown and I used L'oreal Paris B61 (Hi lift cool brown). The dye took on the roots the most, then on the growth and on the tips it did not take at all. So my roots are the actual cool brown advertised on the box and the tips are medium brown still.

I was looking at the Herbal Essences website and I love that 66 (chocolate velvet) color. Would it work out if I just used that dye? Or would it still look weird and two toned?

Extra details in case it is needed:

wavy hair

thick but not course

no gray

healthy

two-three inches past my sho

I have a question about hair dye.. can you help?

Here's what went wrong. You chose a "high lift" color which generally means there is a lightener in it (bleach)... Well body heat makes it process faster, so therefore whatever was closest to your scalp brightened really fast and the rest of the hair didn't have enough heat. SOOO...you can color you hair any color as long as it's darker it should take.

I have a question about hair dye.. can you help?

repost this question, but make your details shorter. no one wants to read all of that, lol. keep it short, you'll get more answers that way. try to post a picture of your hair, you'll get TONS of other answers.

I have a question about hair dye.. can you help?

The best thing to do with hair that gets colored wrong is to get a professional to do it. Or else you might ruin your hair.

I have a question about hair dye.. can you help?

use Feria! its the best

I have a question about hair dye.. can you help?

perhaps you should bleach your hair a bit and leave it on the roots a little bit longer than on the rest of your head (b/c the roots are darker) and then even though after the bleach the color will be terrible it will be even toned. THEN dye the herbal essences color you like and you should be set!

I have a question about hair dye.. can you help?

you will be fine just to put the color over it. Cool brown is an ash and the velvet brown is a warm(red) so you won't end up with any crazy colors.

good luck

I have a question about hair dye.. can you help?

It all depends on the hair type you have. in some cases your hair tips dint get enough you Need to be reeelllllyyyyy thorough . the same amount need to be applied all over your hair and scalp..

if you are considering dying it a different color wait at least a week before applying

if you have long and/or thick hair use two cases of dye

Hope i helped!!

Hair cuts for long blonde wavey and curly hair?

I am looking for that new hair cut for 8th grade. Anyone know a site that shows any good hair sytles and cuts for long blonde wavey and curly hair? Or medium styles too! Need all the help! THanks

Hair cuts for long blonde wavey and curly hair?

You can always layer. Though have you ever considered really short? I mean a boy hair short? I know it sounds kinda crazy at first, but it's very new and can look awesome if you have the right face for it. It's usally sported by girls with sharper features. Ex: thin nose, long sharp eye brows, distinct jaw line. The best part is that you can donate your hair to make wigs for kids undergoing chemo therapy! :)
